Hello Atlantia,

I am very pleased to announce that the Tournament of the Golden Rose, to be held next month, is our first Atlantian event to use electronic pre-payments.  It can be found at: http://acceps.ansteorra.org/index.php

 

For those of you who have long heard “you can’t use electronic payments” for events, I want to make it clear that this payment system is approved by the SCA.  In fact, I’d like to point out that it is the ONLY payment system that is approved.

 

There are a couple other notes:

-          While other Kingdoms have been using this for a while, this is our first use.  I expect everything to go well, but if there are problems, the ACCEPS team is very helpful and ready to get things fixed. We’ll appreciate your feedback.

-          When doing your reservation, please read all the directions and click all the way through the process of going into the payment system and then back out to ACCEPS.  Only when you’re back to ACCEPS will it be triggered to mail you your confirmation.

-          Electronic registration ends about a week before the e
vent to allow the registration list to be sent to the Event Staff. 

-          There is a $1 fee that is added onto each reservation.  This is a fee for and directly to the bank, not to any SCA organization.

-          No credit/debit card information is ever stored on any SCA controlled server.

-          You are not required to do pre-payments this way: you may still reserve with a check.

-          All known-world events that can be reserved through ACCEPS will show up on ALL kingdom web sites.  And that is why you see Lillies and Known World Heraldic & Scribal Symposium on our Atlantian page.

-          If any of YOU want to use ACCEPS for an event, you may, but just coordinate with me first, please.  There is a charge to your event for using the process.

 

It is my hope that this will be a great service to the people of our great Kingdom.
