This is a reminder that next weekend, April 16th, there will be a US
Japanese Historical Reenactment Society (USJHRS) sponsored Hanami, or
Flower Viewing party held in Centreville:

This is *not* an SCA event, but as it may appeal to people in the SCA,
we thought we'd let folks know. There will be Japanese garb available
for those who contact me beforehand. The cost is FREE.

We will actually be gathering beforehand (8 or 9am) to go down and
view the Cherry Blossoms, and if we have time we may go to the
Freer-Sackler Gallery. Anyone may come if they wish--it is not in
costume and the only cost is for the Metro ticket into town.

After that, we will return for the meal that my wife and some helpers
are preparing. For that, we need to have people signed up by nlt
midnight this Saturday. It is pretty full, but we could fit a few
more bodies if there were interest--but we need to know before the
food is ordered!

Monday we will be using the Asian Nights to work on clothing and Ellen
will be doing some pre-cook for the event, so feel free to come out
and see what we will be dining on beforehand ;)
