Noble Friends,

One of the living history sites used in the Luttrell Psalter film was Saxon
House, East Firsby. The Saxon House was used in the film's chicken
sequence. Co-founder Steven Jones apparently portrays the angry man chasing
away the cherry thief, and is also listed in the credits as one of the
archers. Saxon House has also been used in a number of other educational
films.

This is a replica 7th century Saxon home, and is run as an educational
center with docents in period costume. There is an extensive web site with
many useful pages to explore.
