Noble Friends, Especially Vikings:

Recently the Danish city of Aarhus installed 17 new pedestrian traffic
lights to mark the ancient Viking settlement which forms the city center.
The lights use stick figures of a Viking warrior to tell residents (and
tourists) when it is safe to cross:
http://www.thehistoryblog.com/archives/56240 , and hint at what could
happen to jaywalkers who ignore the lights.

Aarhus was founded in the 8th century, and was a major Viking center by the
10th century. Today's streets in the historic district retain the ancient
10th century layout. A brief history of the city during the Viking and
Middle Ages periods can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aarhus .

Aarhus has a Viking museum that displays some of the treasures found during
excavations at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking_Museum_(Aarhus) and a
few images on the Wikipedia site hint their collection. Unfortunately, I
couldn't get the museum's own English language website to work, and I can't
read more than a few words in Danish.

Yours Aye,
