[MR] BBC: Bosworth Battlefield Endangered

Noble Friends,

Even in history-conscious England, a country that is one vast museum to my
delighted eyes, a site as important as Bosworth Field can be damaged or
lost to modern development. Part of the death site for Richard III (aka
"The Carpark King") will ironically be covered in asphalt by a test track
for electric vehicles. The Richard III Society, The Battlefields Trust and
Historic England have opposed the development plan, which will eat 27 acres
or routhly 1% of the battlefield. The opponents have run out of legal
options, and development will proceed.
