Coventry has selected its new flag, and it features the very medieval Lady
Godiva. It is actually quite tasteful, and a remarkable piece of heraldry

Lady Godiva is often portrayed as a something of a wanton woman in popular
culture, but she allegedly undertook her famous ride to shame her husband
into lowering oppressive taxes he had imposed upon his tenants:

is now questioned by historians, but it sure makes a great story, one that
will immortalized on Coventry's flag for generations.
