Noble Friends, Especially Freemasons and Fellow Scots,

Today the BBC is offering a very interesting summary story on the
Scottish origins of Freemasonry. Surprisingly, Scottish Masonic lodges
are documented as early as 1598. Mary's Chapel lodge at 19 Hill Street
in Edinburgh has records dating to July 1599, making it the oldest
proven and active Masonic lodge in the world, though 13 other Scottish
lodges were known to exist at that time.

The story can be found at
http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20161209-secret-history-of-the-freemasons-in-scotland
.

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
