Greetings unto the lists,

Please forward this to any and all lists you feel appropriate.

With War of the Wings VII only 6 days away, the time has come to tell
everyone about this year’s prize raffle! As everyone knows, there is a
fundraising raffle held every year at WoW, with the prize being a handmade
quilt or blanket. This year’s blanket is called the Hemlock Ring Blanket
and is made from a gorgeous, scarlet red, 100% wool yarn. The pattern is
based on a vintage doily and is 5ft in diameter. It is the perfect size to
be used as a shawl, tablecloth, or throw it on your lap and just relax. The
blanket perfectly contrasts the beautiful lace patterns with a heavier yarn
made for Autumn and Winter items. Tickets are $1 per ticket or $5 for 6
tickets.

As many of you know, this year I attempted the challenge of knitting a
quilt out of hundreds of stuffed hexagons. Help came from all corners of
Known World to assist me in this undertaking. Sadly, we only reached 3/4ths
of our goal with the number “hexipuffs” made and collected. I therefore
decided to make the Ring blanket for this year, instead of raffling off an
unfinished hexipuff quilt. I will continue to make and collect these
"hexipuffs", so we can raffle off the full-sized quilt next year at WoW.

I want to thank everyone who helped me knit the hexipuffs. If it were not
for you dedicating your skills and time to helping me, I would be nowhere
near getting the quilt done. If you're still interested in contributing to
this project, please keep knitting hexipuffs - I'll be happy to continue
collecting them.

Yours in Service,

Lord Dreux d'Anjou
