According to Lady Elena, who is enroute to WoW at this time, I 81 is
shut down from exit 132 (in Virginia) until Christiansburg.
Looking at Google maps, it appears that a better route would be to
follow the instructions below from I-81 south. (Please note these
directions originated from my house in Highland Foorde - and I start
on I81 at the MD/WV line.)

>From I 81 South (In Virginia)

7. Take the VA-419 N/US-220 BUS/Franklin Rd exit toward Salem

8. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for VA-419 N and merge onto
VA-419 N/Electric Rd

9. Turn left onto Brambleton Ave

10. Continue onto US-221 S/Bent Mountain Rd
Continue to follow US-221 S

11. Turn right onto E Stuart Dr
1.2 mi
12. Continue onto US-221 S/US-58 W/Carrollton Pike

13. Turn left to merge onto I-77 S
Entering North Carolina
According to Lady Elena, it took them half an hour to get off the exit
at exit 132, not including the time they spent in traffic getting TO
the exit.
If you look at google maps, you'll see the route I'm describing.
