there was/is clearly some confusion about what you were asking.

your question sparked a debate/conversation that forgot what you said.
which was specifically about egyptian cultures and how they interacted with
the european cultures specifically outlined by the sca. folks went off of
that and lost focus. not uncommon but, i hope, in no way suggests to you
that the question isnt valid or that nobody is thinking about it. in fact i
personally was intrigued by the question being that my direct family
bloodline, well half of it, comes from northern africa. yes, im an african
american! ;8^)

folks that are focused on your direct situation will hopefully contribute.
others, including me, got involved in a different topic that your post
happened to bring up.

great topic and i hope to see great conversations about it.

Thank you everyone for your comments, suggestions, insight, thoughts,
opinions, etc on this subject. The difference between what I am trying to do
and Mr Stormtrooper is that his/her attempt is fantasy. It is easy to draw a
big red box around it. The topic I wish to research is historical, no debate
about it. Unfortunately the BoD isnt as so kind to give a specific and exact
start time as they are for end time....
it is grey. Several different shades of grey in fact. I do not mind
researching something in the grey areas of the sca timeline. And I don't
mind if people are willing to give constructive criticism and share
knowledge that they may possess on the subject. But as of right now there
are very few people who can offer such. That was what I was looking for.
Someone/some group to _help_ me. Thank you to those few gentles who have
tried to do so politely.

For those who have been following this thread...academically or out of
curiosity for Egyptian culture... please check out my A&S display I plan to
submit at War of the Wings. I strive to encourage those who are willing to
research and put themselves out there knowing they will be judged. I wont
say it's easy but I hope that I can set an example... grey area of SCA
timeline or not...that others will feel the courage to follow.

YIS,

~Roh
