My Lady, one of the first things taught to me as a newcomer to this grand
society, those that have good reason need not rise, bow or kneel. That good
reason is outlined in whether that person can stand easily or kneel easily
from any of these positions.
A bum knee certainly qualifies. ANYONE in this game should accept that this
will happen, especially as we age and find that our joints don't work as
they did as teens.
I myself find that I can't kneel anymore, and I can't curtsy either. If
called into court, I bow, and then inform Their Royals that I cannot kneel.
I have not yet been into court where this was not given a pass.
Please guard your health as it is way more important.
