is the opposite not just as "true"? that to claim it is "rude" for someone
to embrace their ease of reading over the great majority of those using
email clients ease of response? im asking because every once in a while
this is brought up and i dont understand it because i use an email client
that simply posts the responses (with no end to the thread below it) and its
never been difficult to read, follow, or delete. bottom posting is way more
of a pain since that requires searching for the response instead of simply
seeing it. i dont do any digests on any lists so i dont know what it looks
like or why someone would choose to do so. still, i dont know that its fair
to claim someone as "exceedingly rude" simply because their way isnt your
way.

Howdy!

This is not aimed specifically at Chris; he merely provided the latest
example.

Trim your posts. It's exceedingly rude to impose such needless overhead on
every reader of the list. It makes reading the digest more painful.
It gives the impression that your ease of response trumps my ease of
reading.

If you bottom post instead of Jeopardy-style top post, it becomes obvious
that you need to trim out the unnecessary verbiage. That is another benefit
to bottom posting. Really. Try it. Please.

Herveus
