[MR] The Alleged Cesspit That Is The Merry Rose

I have not made a count, but I am easily on 20 email lists and I 
moderate two of them plus the blog that I mentioned. The blog is about 
court cases related to religion based child abuse, So believe me when I 
say that it can get ugly there.  Death threats is not an exaggeration on 
that list,  and we have had real computer stalking of moderators and 
regular posters that wound up in court cases.

All or nothing thinking is taking my suggestion that we have any 
moderation at all and making it into a suggestion that we run this list 
like a kindergarten class.I never said anything of the kind; what I said 
is that there is in effect no moderator and that's a problem.   I 
suspect that moderating this list would indeed be an easy job, but I 
think it's a job someone should be doing.  But it's up to the group to 
decide what they want and if they want a cesspit with no moderator, 
that's what they are going to get.
