I thought I'd add my two cents to this as well. I started fighting in Crown
Tournaments as an unbelt in 1991 (yea, so I'm getting old) I fought as an
unbelt, I fought as a knight, and I fought, and fought, and fought.
As some of you remember, I finally won my first crown tournament in Atlantia
in 2000. I think I fought in 16 Crown Tournaments before I finally managed to
win one.
Crown Trounaments are the best fighting a person can find. They are generally,
the most honorable, hardest, and fastest fights that this sport has to offer.
You can learn something in every fight.
Going two and out is NOT an embarrasment to ANY lady you chose to fight for....
it is a badge of honor that they can hold with them forever that someone felt
that they were worthy of the honor of Queen (King) no matter the chances of
winning.
Not only that, but look guys, old, fat Dukes like myself can sweat our way
through 5 fights... but the larger the field of fighters, the more tired we
get... we're not as fit as we used to be. The more fighters, the more chances
for the young and speedy ;)
Just my 2 cents from far away....
