[MR] Your suggestions please => Newcomers thread

We say "good idea".  How about a tasteful ribbon or colored bunting of sort
pinned to garb of volunteers who are willing to help with newcomers.  This
marker could be identified at the gate on a sign.  That way volunteers could
still go about their business and yet be accessible to newcomers for
questions without having to stay in one place.

Gate all day, or even stay AT a Newcomers point.  Have it set up, but if

is something like what I just suggested available as a hand out at Gate, it
might help new folks get an idea of who they are looking for, and help them
feel
a bit more at ease knowing there is someone there FOR them at their first
event.
