Good morning all,

Pennsic is fast approaching, and I know a lot of us are working hard
to prepare for the War.

However, you don't want to overexert yourselves.  Take a break.  Sit
down and have some water, maybe even in front of the computer.  While
you are there, why not make your reservations for the Tournament of
the Golden Rose, to be held September 4, 2010 in the Barony of
Windmasters' Hill!

Event Costs:
Adult, Member: $12.00 Adult, Non-Member: $17.00  (No feast will be
provided, but a sideboard is included in your event fee.) Youth

Accommodations:  This is a day-trip only event, but discounted lodging

King/Double Suite: $89.99 Per Night

The rate includes a full hot breakfast buffet for up to 4 people per
room. Cancellations must be made before noon on the day before arrival
to avoid penalty charges.  Please mention the "SCA" for the discounted
rate.

The format for the Tournament of the Golden Rose is similar to last
year, with each Lady of the Rose fielding a team chosen by her own
hand:

 A Knight of Noble Quality and Renowned Prowess  A Bearer of the White
Scarf, Honorable and Skilled in the Arte  An Armored Fighter, who
dreams of wearing the Belt and Chain One Archer, upon which battle
will be decided  A Herald gifted with a silver tongue

In addition, martial activities will be held that morning to allow the
Ladies of the Rose to select additional  members for their team from
the ranks of the unbelted armored fighters and non-white scarf
fencers.

***Most important to note, there will be a place on a team for all
unbelted armored fighters and non-white scarf fencers attending, so
THERE WILL BE FIGHTING FOR ALL!***
