I am sending these information tidbits out to all in order to entice your senses and to reminfd you that this event is now 10 days away. In case you missed this the first time around, here is a reminder of the food that will be served at feast:
Master Robear de Bardoulf, Mistress Caitlin of Enniskillen, and Chez Robear present a feast of Northman inspired delicacies. Our research features recipes developed from archaeological sources as well as various Northern cookery books based on regional cuisine of the time. The menu is:
First Course: Cheese Straws, Smoked Salmon, Pickled Apples, and a Horseradish Sauce.
Second Course: Beef and Lamb Roasts with an Herb Sauce and Mustard, Fava Beans, and Braised Cabbage.
Third Course: Icelandic Chicken Pie, Pickled Beets and Endive, and a Good Mushroom dish.
Fourth Course: Skyr with Berries, Preserves, and a Shard Bread
This feast is not vegetarian friendly and dishes may contain pork products, nuts, and mushrooms among other potential allergens. Please address any dietary concerns to Master Robear in advance.
