Unto my fellow brewers of Atlantia does Lord Michel von Schonsee,
Atlantian Brewers Guildmaster, send greetings:

Ever want to become a brewer, but were afraid of the financial outlay
or lack of knowledge?? Fear not, non-alcoholic beverages are
inexpensive, require little equipment, and are extremely period. With
that in mind, I wish to announce that there will be a Non-Alcoholic
Brewing Competition at A Day in the Middle East. There will be two
categories: Sakanjubins and Syrups, for which prizes will be provided.
The entries will be judged using the Atlantian Brewers Guild Judging
Sheet. Documentation is encouraged (and worth bonus points), but not
required. However, an ingredients list is required for entries to be
judged. (We don't want anyone to accidentally drink something for
which they might be allergic.)

To encourage everyone to expand their cooking and brewing skill, I
will be posting redacted recipes that myself and Lady Reyne Telarius
displayed at KASF within the next couple of days. Additionally, you
might want to examine Master Cariadoc's An Anonymous Andalusian
Cookbook for period medieval recipes:

"He never even talked of love; but there are modes of making it more eloquent than language, and which convey it subtiley and irresistibly to the heart. The beam of the eye, the tone of voice, the thousand tendernesses which emanate from every word and look and action - these form the true eloquence of love, and can always be felt and understood, but never described." - Washington Irving
