>When I first started looking for my local group, I found a search link right on the "Resources and Information for Newcomers "page off the main >society page. Put your zip in and it told you the local group, or groups that you fall under. That was only about 18mo ago, but it doesn't seem to >be there any more.

If nothing else, if you go to www.atlantia.sca.org and scroll about 4/5 of the way down, there's a link to the Atlantian ZIP code database. It's the top link under the "Resources" heading. There's also a list of groups and locations on the chatelaine's page. That'd do the trick, too. I'll grant you, though, that if I were a new person, I'd have to be pretty compelled to find the SCA to dig around enough to find either of those. Perhaps they should be relocated (or an additional link located) in a more obvious spot near the top of the home page? It wouldn't need to take up a lot of the valuable real estate -- perhaps something as simple as a button that says "New? Find your local group here!"

Just a thought.

YIS,
Debora
