When I was stationed there a number of years ago, the local group was
the Barony of South Downs (noted as one of the oldest groups in the area
and fairly active). Next to this group was the Barony of Bryn Madoc,
also fairly active. The web site for South Downs is
http://www.south-downs.net/
Tell them hello from me, they were a great group and a lot of help as I
then moved to An Tir before Atlantia.

Subject: [MR] Help for new person in Marietta,GA
Hi, folks,
Have a person in Marietta wanting to check out the SCA. After using our
state of the art search engines to find a local group there, I've
decided the best way to find some contacts is to just ask around on
message boards. There's no way a newbie is going to be able to navigate
all that stuff and find someone. :-( 10 minutes of searching, and I
still can't, and I'm not even a newbie.
Anyone know who I can put my friend in contact with?
Thanks,
Dulcy
