What about sponsoring a melee during a tournament where only those with
registered arms may enter? You could require a banner and sheild to enter
the melee and provide a cool prize to the winner. Also, since it's only a
single melee, it wouldn't needlessly exclude members without arms from all
martialed activities. Heck, it might also provide more "spiff" at events,
and who doesn't want that? grin.

Also, pas d'armes are wonderful ways to encourage heraldic display for all
entrants. But in order to have it be meaningful, time has to be set aside
for presentation of the combatants and their retinues. Otherwise, it may
not we worth the effort for many people.

Contest for best heraldic display during the grand march at Pennsic? Kills
two birds with one stone: provides motivation for those who need to finish
up their arms & also provides a fittingly splendid backdrop for their
Majesties as they process.

Oh...and how about attending Challenge of the Heart this weekend? THAT
would be a GREAT way to show off your heraldry!! HAhahaha (You can't blame
a Baroness for talking up her own event!!)
