This is a switch . . . usually what happens is that I mean to send a message to an individual and erroneously send it to the list!  This was t'other way 'round.
Donal

This may or may not do any good . . .

Most Scout camps have days or weekends when volunteers, mostly Scouts themselves or parents or leaders, come in and do maintenance and upkeep on the facilities. In our area they call it "Beaver Day."

Even though you'd be atoning for what you may not have committed, if a crew of Scadians showed up and did some real work at one or two of these sessions, it may mollify the powers-that-be . . .

Just a thought.

I spoke to the ranger at the Boy Scout camp in Stanly
ounty, He did not give a lot of sites and no dates,
nd he clearly did not want to be pressed for
pecifics and I did not want him put on the defensive,
ut his wife told me that he is related to some of the
ther rangers, so you have to know they get together
nd talk. Now, I believe that some of this is
xaggeration, but it doesn't matter now. It only
akes a small thing to become a big thing and all
nyone has to do to refuse to rent to us is have the
ERCEPTION that we are a lot of trouble. Remember
hat the typical consumer tells 8 people of a bad
xperience and one person of a good experience. In
he future I will ask people to sign a letter that the
ite was left clean and in order.
