Caer Mear held a Masqued Ball for many years running that wasn't just A&S
focused but specifically dance focused with other A&S activities also going
on.  Can't remember there ever being fighting at it.

Bright Hills has done something similar, if I recall correctly.  So has
Isenfir.  I've been to rapier centric events with no armored combat.  I've
been to events where the goal was success in A&S, armored *AND* rapier
combat.  Haven't there been archery-centric events too?  And equestrian?

And then there's 12th Night (which could be said to be dedicated to court
business more than anything else *laugh*).

Just checked our on-line Kingdom calendar and found St. Anne's Guild
Costumers Symposium in April that doesn't even mention any martial
activities but plenty of A&S.  Beltane XXV doesn't mention anything at all.

And some of the most successful local meetings was back when the Barony
changed fight practice into more of Baronial gathering, holding dance, misc
A&S and social activities along sight the fighting.

Some people just don't want to do just one thing all day, no matter what
that one thing is.
