Arts and Sciences Information for
Feast at the Court of Phillip the Good

Greetings!

Our goal for this event is to create the atmosphere of the opulent 
Burgundian Courts.  To further that aim, the A&S competitions will differ
from those typically found at SCA events.

The populace is encouraged to don their finest Burgundian Court garb and 
accoutrements and ladies and gentlemen of the Court are encouraged to 
entertain their companions with music, dance or other entertainments of
the period.  Throughout the day, various nobles of the Court will observe
those appropriately attired and equipped, and enjoy the performances, and
offer prizes to those that please them best.

Since gentles attending court would not have been asked to provide 
documentation, you won't either.  However we request that as much as 
possible attire, accoutrements and entertainments be those appropriate to
the Burgundian Court.

Some of the prizes that may be given are for:

Performing arts
Clothing
Hats & headgear
Table settings
Banners
Foodstuffs
Beverages

The idea is to encourage others to do well, not to have a State Fair. 
Attendees who are interested in sponsoring a prize of some sort are 
encouraged to contact Mistress Keilyn (see Autocrats).



Their Excellencies Aelfgar and Aryanna will also select their Arts and 
Sciences Champion from among the Lochmere populace at this event.  Those 
members of Lochmere wishing to compete for the position of Baronial Arts 
and Science Champion are asked to provide documentation of their entry(s)
to their Excellencies' Herald no later than noon on the day of the event.
