And off the African coast. Sailing directions for mechant ships in some
areas tell them not to get closer than a certain distance to land, because the
pirates use small boats with high speed but limited range. I'm told some
shipping companies have been hiring Ghurkas as guards for these ships.
There's nothing romantic about pirates nowadays, if there ever was. They're
a scurvy lot, and Davy Jones's Locker's t'only fit place for 'em.
