My apologies for this, but AOL ate an e-mail I received from my lady of Berra asking about coursing her dachshund and I would like to ask if she could contact me off-list so that I can try to answer her questions.  But one answer my lady is this.  You most assuredly can course a dachshound.  I know of at least one demon dachshund courser in the SCA.
