[MR] Chinese Mountain Scale or Star Scale Armour?

I ran across a nice internet site about armour, www.armourarchive.org.

One of the essays on it, at
http://www.armourarchive.org/essays/Shanwenkia.pdf, mentioned something
called "shan wen kia" or mountain scale armour.  Apparently, it's also
called star scale armour.

It appears to be pretty neat, but I would like to find a bit more
documentation before I make a set.

If you have any good sources about it to jump start my research, I would
appreciate it.
