I'm not sure about the process itself, but from what I've heard, it was
long overdue.
There was definitely a lot of documentation to the process and as a friend
put it,
it wasn't for any one incident of Aveloc's but a "lifetime achievement
award" for
all the harm he'd done.

Be careful reading this. It's obviously very prejudiced (not that I blame
him) but
highly misleading. As one "for instance", there's a accusation of him
attacking
and holding someone's head underwater at a Lillies War. The accusation letter
states "some 3 years ago", to which his response was "I wasn't even at Lillies
3 years ago". Sounds like a smear tactic unless you know that letter was
written
a few years ago so it was 3 years *from the time of the letter* and the
incident
he's trying to side step had many other witnesses. Hard to forget doing
something like that to a person.

The BoD seems to move *very* slowly and cautiously in things of this nature.
Having been involved in similar proceedings here in this kingdom, all I can
say is
if they actually went through with it, it was most likely due to
overwhelming evidence.

My opinionated tuppence,
