Heheheh... This reminds me of a conversation I had with a fencer, whilst
walking up toward the back end of the battlefield with a couple of guns.
I was growling somewhat at the attitude that we blackpowder types catch
occasionally, and the fencer said,

"But WE love you! Since you came along, the stick-in-the muds have a new
whipping boy instead of the fencers!".
