Thyra,
Both...
You're right, we do have a lot to keep us amused here in Atlantia, but, I feel
this is a health issue for the Society as a whole. Atlantians, in my opinion,
should not play isolationist because something happened to a member of another
kingdom. Why should our help be any different based on whether a person is from
home or nay? If nothing else, this has brought up a point that we, those of the
Knowne World, have no recourse to gainsay the BoD. Is this really what we want?
In regards to getting the BoD comments, from the
http://sca.org/BOD/mtg-sked.html site, it says that you can write to Milpitas
for meeting minutes... under http://sca.org/BOD/announcements/ they have the
Pennsic Accord there listed under Petition from Nine Crowns
(http://sca.org/BOD/announcements/9crowns.html) other than that, I do not think
anything can be found. As forwarded by another person, the BoD did send
something to the Antiran Seneschal regarding the issue, but, it is biased to the
the BoD side as Aveloc's web page is biased to his side... that's just the way
things go.
It is up to each of us to decide if we think it is worth improving the way
things are done with our Society and if so, how we choose to do it. I thought
this situation warranted discussion in our kingdom.
