[MR] drinking horn

Greetings Everyone!

I have a horn that I would like to make into a drinking horn.  It needs to
be able to hold all sorts of drinks (lemonade for kids, carbonated beverages
for adults).  I am not looking for a period way necessarily to coat the
inside of the horn, just something that works and is non-toxic.  I got some
exterior/interior varnish in the Wal-mart craft section that is non-toxic.
It is designed to be used on plates, etc.  Does anyone know if this will
work or does anyone know something that will?  Thanks! Sinclair Hawkins
