I might be off the mark hear but I don't think that the point is to
place modern bows lower on the list but to let you compare to others in
the same basic class of bow.

As someone who is planning to purchase her first SCA allowable bow later
this year, I found your link in Issue 4 back to the bow at 3 Rivers very
helpful -- though I'm still unclear as to why it would not count as
"period."  Perhaps you could include a wee table with links to various
manufactuers and bowyers, and then the category in which the bow would
go, and then why it would not be a period bow?  I'd sure hate to buy
what I thought was a period bow, only to end up further down the list.
