[Archers] RE: Too many useless Royal Round Scores

I find myself agreeing with Sigfried (not that unusual:)
Anything over 3 on any given day is relatively useless, as many others
have
stated.

Allowing up to 3 is also good, as many have stated, since not everyone
has regular practices, and/or shoots only RRs at any given event
(practice or regular event). Many folks shoot RRs because they
like them, others, just to play along with the 'Ranking Game', but would
rather shoot more interesting shoots when available.

I am as guilty as any of submitting many scores from a single practice,
but have
no problem with only the highest 3. On the other hand..... What is all
of this
about 'approving the scores', that Gregge refers to. This goes back to
the name
thing (NO LET'S NOT REVISIT IT), in that I don't understand what is being
'APPROVED'. As I understand it the scorekeeper was setup to collect the
scores
and maintain the database (and associated web pages in their various
forms).

It doesn't only fall on Gregge, since I know that others have been
cleared to enter
scores (how many? who? I don't know), so discussions of work load are
useless.
He can always allow more to help.

Robert, as I remember it (please speak up if I am wrong, Bob), entered
every score
sent to him, as is. He made no judgements, and there was no 'acceptance'

involved.

With this increasingly annoying emphasis on RRs and rankings (yes, I am
inundating
with various styles - partly to show what can be done - obviously not for
ultimate
scores, if you check them out :), things are getting real obnoxious.

What ever happened to shooting for enjoyment????

my $.02+ (sorry for the length)
