On this 20th day of May 2017 at Court in Our Barony of Hawkwood, We, Cuan and Signy, King and Queen of Atlantia, acting in consultation and concord with Our Seneschal, Duchess Simone de Barjavel, issue Sanction – Expulsion from the SCA, against John T. Sheppard, known in the Society as Duke Guillaume Tomas le Lou (William Thomas). This Sanction prohibiting participation in the SCA and its activities by any means and in any venue, including social media owned by the SCA is effective immediately and shall last until the end of our reign on October 7, 2017 pending review by the Society Seneschal and the Board of Directors.

II.C. EXPULSION FROM THE SCA

1. Definition: Expulsion temporarily bans an individual from attendance or participation in any way, shape, or form in any SCA activity, event, practice, or official gathering for any reason, at any time, until the issue that gave rise to the expulsion has been resolved. This includes a ban on participation on officially recognized SCA social media (Facebook) sites; officially recognized SCA electronic email lists and officially recognized SCA webpages.


What does this mean for your group? It means that the sanctioned person may not participate. He cannot attend SCA events, SCA practices of any type or participate on SCA e-lists or SCA social media.  He may not contact any Crown, Heirs or officers of the SCA. No officer of the SCA may allow him to participate, no marshal can allow him to attend an SCA practice, and no seneschal may allow him to attend an SCA event or meeting. Any infraction or attempted infraction of this expulsion must be reported to the Kingdom Seneschal, your corresponding Great Officer of State (i.e. marshals notify Earl Marshal etc.), and local seneschal. If you have specific concerns please contact the Kingdom Seneschal directly.
