>Greetings Atlantia!

>It's that time again!  Time to start thinking about what you are going to enter in this (next) year's Persona Pentathlon/Triathlon on 2 February 2013 at the Kingdom Arts and Sciences Festival.  The competition is only 3.5 months away, and I'd really like to see an even bigger turnout than last year ( which at 11 was very good!).
>
>For the adults, we have the Pentathlon.
>In this competition, each participant must make 5 items pertaining to 1 persona (for example:  10th century Kievan Rus unmarried peasant woman).  This does NOT have to be your persona.  The 5 items must fit into at least 3 of the different categories listed in the rules.  That means you can have 2 repeated categories.  If one of your items is a research paper, I must receive it no later than 2 January 2013 (1 month prior to the event) in order to give the judges time to carefully read your work.
>
>For the children (17 and under), we have the Triathlon.
>In this competition, the same rules apply as for the adults except that you only have to make 3 items, and each one must fit into a different category.  I would especially like to encourage more children to enter.  This is a great learning experience, a fun competition, and the prize is terrific!
>
>As always, the winner of each competition will receive a basket full of wonderful things donated by our own Order of the Laurel.
>
>So, get started on those entries and encourage all your friends to do the same.  Just send me your SCA name, mundane name, your group, and a list of your items by 18 January 2013 so that I can make sure that we have appropriate judges and forms at the event.  The link to all the rules and categories is:  http://moas.atlantia.sca.org/forms.htm  If you have any questions at all feel free to contact me at rissaroo12 at comcast.net
>
>Once again, the dates are:  2 January 2013 - deadline for research papers
>                                                18 January 2013 - list of items being entered is due
>                                                2 February 2013 - competition day!
