[Ponte Alto] Sapphire Joust

I will contact you offlist later today.  I've tent-camped at events with my 
girls when they were toddlers years ago, but still remember some useful tips.  
Those then-toddlers are now 12 and 10 and plan to come to Sapphire.  I'm happy 
to "hire them out as free labor"--they aren't old enough to babysit, but can be 
a "mother's helper" so you can get a break.

So we bit the bullet (arrowhead?) and registered the fam to camp at Sapphire 
Joust! Ahhh!  It'll be our first SCA camping event, and our first time camping 
with the kidlets, so any and all advice/suggestions/ideas would be MUCH 
appreciated. My email is eliisaharman at gmail.com, so anyone can contact me there 
(or on Facebook), and we won't clog up the list! ;)  Our kids (for those of you 
who haven't seen them at events) are 2 1/2 and 1, so it will be extra 
interesting. We just have a tiny modern tent, and plan to get a sunshade thingy 
so we don't fry... What else do we need? What DON'T we need? Like I said, any 
feedback would be fantastic. 


Whee for large hunks of meat!
