> Greetings Atlantia,
>
> In celebration of the impending Pearl (30th) Anniversary of the fair
Kingdom of Atlantia, the lady Margaret Roe and I feel it is the finest time
to encourage a grand promenade of all crown lands so that we may all visit
our neighbors, near and far, and celebrate with them such a special
anniversary.
> As announced in court at Crown Tournament, we offer a challenge to all to
travel the length and breadth of this kingdom as often and widely as
possible during the twelve-month beginning with Coronation of Michael VIIII
and Seonaid VI this Spring and ending at the Coronation of their grand-heirs
the Spring following. During this time, we encourage all to see far parts of
Atlantia they may not visit so regularly.
>
> In support of this, we have arranged several prizes to be awarded those
who travel the furthest and most during the year to come. Some of the
prizes, specifically a Mastermyr Style chest and a reproduction of the Duke
of Umberto Writing Box, were exhibited during court this weekend. Other
prizes, including several necklaces in Byzantine and Elizabethan styles,
French and Spanish style cloaks, and a fully illuminated map of Atlantia,
will be shown at later events to add to your enticement to travel.
>
> "How may you divine the names of those who truly have traveled the most
during this time?" you may ask. For this, we have designed and will have
printed passports for those who wish to contend, and stamps will be sent out
for each event. When you arrive at the event and check-in, it is simply a
matter of having your passport book stamped. At the close of the Thirtieth
Year, turn in the passport and be counted. Prizes will be awarded not only
for overall Kingdom Travel, but also on the regional and local levels. There
are quite a few prizes, and far more to be had in the traveling, so there
will be no shortage of winners in this great adventure.
>
> For specifics, updates, and more information see the website at
www.TravelAtlantia.net or contact your local seneschal who will be receiving
further information in the coming week. Additional announcements will be
made at future events and on this list.
>
> So, we do encourage you to Promenade the whole of the Kingdom in this
Pearl Anniversary Year that is to come.
>
>
> And don't forget your passport.
