  I drove by the storage unit (it's on my way to work) and it appears to be fine (I was able to practice my best DC rubbernecking skills).  The fire seems to have been contained to the main two-story building (and it's a total wreck) but a firetruck is still blocking the entrance to the facility.

    I do have some news on the storage unit I felt I need to share in case any one hears of it on the news.
    The Public storage facility in Herndon where we store baronial property apparently suffered a fire today .However I do not believe at this time that our unit was affected by this. According to the news report I have found so far the fire occurred in the 2 story building (where we used to be) 
    Our current unit is on the other side of the property so is about as far away from that building as it could be. I did try to drive by but fire units were still blocking Centreville road. I will try again tomorrow to ascertain this but for now I do not think there is any need for concern that we have any property damage.
    Will let you know as I have further information
