Jane and will be there (once we fight our way down 7100) and look forward to meeting other newcomers and veteran Pontoons. We'll bring along a food or beverage offering for the Gracious Hosts and the Elder Gods.

In addition to participating in the the normal costuming, armor and history geekery -- I'm trying to help get some momentum behind the next round of new fighter training. So if there are newcomers interested in entering the lists or current members who have been making noises about learning to fight heavy I'll be there looking to encourage other novices to take the plunge and join us Thursday nights and Sunday afternoons.

Greetings Pontoons!

This Friday, October 23rd, I will be sponsoring the monthly newcomers meeting at my home in Kingstowne. Members old and new are welcome, and please feel free to bring any projects you might be working on. 

I will be providing some food and drinks, but, because attendance is unpredictable, I would ask the experienced members to try to bring a dish/refreshment/desert to share. Newcomers need only bring yourselves (unless you WANT to bring something else).

Children are welcome as I have 3 of my own.  We do have 2 dogs and a cat (who will be sequestered for the evening), so please pre-medicate if you have allergies (if you have an allergy to children...that would probably work as well). 

Please park in the visitor's spaces.  My townhome unit is decorated for Halloween and will have a sign on the door that says "SCA" for easy locating.
