[Ponte Alto] Important Message for those who attend Ponte Alto's Thursday Night Fighter Practice - we are in jeopardy of loosing this site

Greetings,

I would like to add one more thing in support to Her Excellency's note. This is not the first time that Ponte Alto loses a practice site with the Fairfax County Public Schools.

The first time was about 7 years ago, Stenwood Elementary, a fabulous site. We lost it because of damage done to the floor by armored equipment, and because some people did not respect the time alloted to us, leaving after 9 p.m., thus alienating the custodians. This is one of the reasons we have had separate rapier and armored practices since, and we are very paranoid about losing our sites.

I cannot stress enough the fact that it is not in the best interest of the Barony to keep risking the loss of practice sites. It is not easy to find places that will allow us to practice indoor practically for free. If word goes around, pretty soon all of us will be out of sites to practice. We are all adults, and one would assume that we are capable of following these simple rules.

Yours in Service,

Belphoebe
(Who had to deal with this situation the last time it happened)
