The Society for Creative Anachronism Inc. is accepting applications for
the position of Society Chatelain.

The Society Chatelain is the officer responsible for coordinating the
fostering of newcomers and public outreach for the SCA. This officer is
currently a deputy to the Society Seneschal. Duties include:

* Coordinating the efforts of kingdom chatelains/hospitallers
* Developing and compiling materials for recruitment, newcomer
orientation, and local officer training.
* Developing and sponsoring a Member Education Program 
* Developing and maintaining a knowledge base for SCA demos, as well as
an SCA demo policy/guidelines document.
* Performing other duties assigned by the Board or Society Seneschal as
directed.

Successful candidates for this position will have demonstrated
leadership skills, problem solving expertise and experience with project
management.

Applicants should be able to travel to other Kingdoms as necessary, and
have easy access to phone, mail, and reliable e-mail. An applicant must
be a paid member of the Society, and must be able to meet quarterly
reporting deadlines in a timely manner. 

Though this is an unpaid position, it presents the opportunity to not
only help shape the future of the Society, but to give something back to
an organization that has become an important part of so many lives. The
successful candidate will have the opportunity to help create a lasting
program which will have long term, positive impact on thousands of
participants across the world.

The Society for Creative Anachronism Inc. is accepting applications for
the new position of Marketing Deputy.

The Marketing Deputy will develop and direct coordinated marketing
programs and projects for SCA Inc.  These programs will use marketing
assessments and initiatives to enhance new member acquisition, current
member retention and member development. 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design and develop strategic and tactical marketing plans for the SCA.  
Support the Society Chatelain and other SCA officers to facilitate
implementation of marketing plans. Specifics could include organizing
and implementing recruitment-focused marketing initiatives such as
social networks and web-based multimedia.

This position is a deputy of the Society Seneschal and will work closely
with the Society Media and Society Chatelaine deputies as well as
members of the Board of Directors.

Experience: At least two years in the media, marketing or advertising
sectors within a professional services environment.  Strong leadership
and consensus building skills; marketing management and strategic
planning experience.

Skills: Must be a self-starter and highly organized.  Polished written
presentation and good interpersonal skills are key.
