[Ponte Alto] Rapier at Tournament of Love and Beauty

Greetings everyone.

Well, the weather is looking very unlike previous years, with highs in
the middle 40s expected this Saturday.  With that in mind, please come
out and join us for a wonderful day of pagentry and martial prowess at
Tournament of Love and Beauty.

Authorizations and inspections are scheduled to begin at 10AM, with the
tournament proper starting at approximately 11:30AM.  Prior to the start
of the tournament, there will be a procession for the combatants to
introduce themselves the Their Excellencies of Ponte Alto, James and
Katherine.  Similar to last year, the list field will be broken up into
three - one field for combat with single rapier, one field for combat
with rapier and offensive secondary (i.e. a dagger or second rapier),
and one field for rapier and defensive secondary.  Entry to the lists
will be via challenge format - find an opponent, challenge them, agree
on a weapons form, and enter the appropriate list.  Two points will be
awarded to the victor, one point to the loser, and no points for a
double kill.  Double kills will *not* be refought.

In addition to the prize for the overall winner of the tournament, Her
Excellency Katherine will be watching the fighting and will select
someone for a special prize.
