Greetings!

In regards to the bardic challenges at the upcoming Feast and Foolishness in Highland Foorde (http://highland-foorde.atlantia.sca.org/fools.php):

Please forgive me for issuing this challenge when the event is coming up so soon!  Below, where it says, "There is also a competition in which you are to tell a story in which
you were the victim of either theft or deception" it CAN be a story in which you were the victim of a theft or deception...

Actually, a story that originates in the SCA or from history or from period literature that features a lie, a deception or a theft would work for that challenge.  Thusly do I hope to get more bards to meet the challenge since no one likes to admit that they were deceived and few brag of times that they deceived others to their own dishonor.

There will be 3 prizes: a liberated relic from the neighboring barony of Ponte Alto, crushed unicorn horn, and one other I haven't obtained yet and thus cannot vouch for the certainty of.  Thank you!

YIS,
Kalara Zrinyi.

Greetings, Gracious nobles -- Good gentles -- Bards of every stripe and
hue!

....the time draws nigh for Highland Foorde's festive day, Feb. 21st.
Have you a poem? --a song? -- a story? We crave your participation, one
and all! Be you juggler, jongleur, or joker, whether tummler, tumbler,
or tintinnabulist, delight us with your offerings.  Remember to bring
tokens to reward those who delight YOU.

Who among us will rise to the challenges cast down before us?
(1) Bardic performance focusing in any way upon medieval women;
(2) Bardic performance of an original composition;
(3) Filks;
(4) Performance by children under 10

There is also a competition in which you are to tell a story in which
you were the victim of either theft or deception.

Many bards = much fun. You don't need special equipment, authorization,
a warrant, or anything more than a tad of nerve and a willing heart to
participate.
Although pre-registration for the event is required (see Acorn or Merry
Rose for details, or email me), challenge sign-ups will be on-site.

Be there! Aloha!

YIS,
Swannoc Beag
