[Ponte Alto] Buying a Tent (advice please?)

Hey yall,
I'm planning on buying a canvas tent but don't know anything about it
accept that I want it water proof and flame retardant.
Does anyone have:
1) Ideas on what I need to look for
2) Recommendations on where to buy it
3) a way to save me from myself?
