[Ponte Alto] A tent pole saga and question

I was just at Tart yesterday. They have the square 2x2x72 stakes. They are about $1.50 each. However, the selection they have at the moment is not that great. They come in bundles of 400-500 and they about 75 left, so its been picked through pretty hard. I ended up going wtih 1.5" round closted pole. More expensive than the stakes, but at $1.28 per linear foot, its about a third of the price at the home stores and better quality (straightness and lack of any knots). Tart did have some nice quality pressure treated 2x2s, but while they are no longer hazardous to your health, they will very likely stain the canvas, so I decided not to go that route either.

Hope this helps,
Sian
