Anne:

The fighters have *committed* to providing half of the required
funds. Regardless of participation, some of us in the command staff
have decided we would personally provide whatever funds were necessary
to make-up whatever short-falls might occur to ensure we reach the 50%
mark, regardless (we are that committed to the need for an indoor site
for the Barony, and we are that certain that we will get significant
turnout for the practices). In point of fact, we feel that once the
indoor practices get rolling, we will get significant participation
from outside the Barony and will have donations well beyond the 50%
mark.

I believe we need to sign a month-to-month agreement with the school.
We can thus sign-up for the first month, then the second month, then
the third month. Naturally, we need to sign the agreements a bit
before the month begins (though we probably can get some slack for
January, given the holidays and such).

The Barony would be financially liable for the month, though the
Senior fighters of the Barony (e.g., myself, Sir Thomas, etc...) have
agreed that regardless of participation we would provide the 50%
donation. So that is, in fact, a promise for which you can hold us
liable and not a "promise".

The need is immediately immediate because Winter is upon us, we can no
longer effectively use our outdoor site, and if we want to secure the
indoor site for January we need to let the school know "immediately"
because we should've actually let them know some days ago, but have
some slack still.... if we wait much longer we will lose the entire
month of January and all of the momentum and enthusiasm we have built-
up.

We could act provisionally on the first month and then take a full
vote of the Barony at a meeting for the other two months at the next
Baronial meeting. But we need emergency action for January.

We have sufficient administrative resources for collecting the
donations. As to forwarding to the Exchequer within 14 days, is it
allowable to forward by mail (in which case we can easily do that once
we get an address) or we can simply drop it off at a location and time
of their preference -- won't be a problem at all.

Siege and Archery, sadly not (though of course our friends and allies
in Stierbach are all set and able for Archery!)... but we *strongly*
hope that dancers, artisans, fencers, singers, and whomever else wants
will come out and take advantage of the space for weekend Winter
activities!!! We can even work dance practice into our fighter
practice to make sure our fighters get some dance learning' into
'em!!! ;)

Hope that helps clarify.

If there are any other questions, let me know!!!

In Service,

Baron Max Von Halstern
