[Ponte Alto] Reminder: Greater Sterling Area Activity Night is tomorrow night!

Hello everyone!

 

This is a quick reminder that Sterling night is tomorrow night. C'mon out
and join us! (Information from prior announcement listed below. Looking
ahead to the Fall (Yes, I'm planning that far out already), I could use a
few people interested in teaching a class or leading an activity in the
September/October timeframe. We always get better attendance when good stuff
is happening! If you're interested, drop me a line.

Last week's announcement of tomorrow night's activities starts here:

 

Gather for an evening of dance and other diverse merriment with friends and
friends-to-be. Humor the Anatolian Greek (that me) and let him teach you the
Attic Words of the Month or show you how to turn your name (SCA or modern)
into a period monoglyph. See him and his transalpine sweetheart dance with
the air or (better yet) with other live couples!

 

When: 7pm until 9pm on Wednesday, May 3rd (less than a week away!)

What's going on: Ilse and I will be there to dance and be danced with should
anyone wish to join us. I'll teach a (very) little Attic Greek and show
anyone who is interested how to sign your name as a Hellenized Monoglyph.
These letter-based pictograms were used by literate Rhomanoi (mka
Byzantines) in the Middle Ages to mark anything from a letter to a building
to a gravestone as their own. As always, bring your projects to work on and
share, games to play, music for singing, or whatever appeals.

 

Class Postponed until June: Alexandre had originally planned to teach an
arrow-making class, but his work schedule did not change quickly enough. He
plans to give the class at the June 7th Sterling meeting instead.
