Ponte Alto,
Your very own Countess Denise wants you. Yes you, to help with the Children' s Fete.
Come on out and spare and hour of your time to support the youth of the Known World. This event last 3 hours and is always under-manned. If you give a small amount of time this event can be made spactacular by your presence.
YIS,
Lady Marie-Therese Normand
Seneschal, Ponte Alto

Subject: [MR] Childrens Fete at Pennsic
Greetings
How would you like to have the time of your life at Pennsic? Laugh yourself
silly, drink endless icy cold lemonades on a hot day, play games until you're
tired, then stop to be entertained by a juggler or musician, create a little
artwork sing a few songs or learn a new skill? There is one magical day at
Pennsic when every child can do all those things, and all in one place. The
Children's Fete is Wednesday, August 16th during Pennsic, in the Barn from
1-4 PM.
If you can help, for this one afternoon of Pennsic, the children of the
Known World will be so grateful. What better way to appear to be a hero to those
who need to see heroes in action?
Over the years, hundreds of kids have participated in that huge kid-friendly
bash known as The Known World Children's Fete. Here our Society's future,
the children, can have the fun they deserve on their summer vacation. With your
help, the children of Pennsic can continue to have a whale of a good time at
the Fete. All they need, to keep up this noble tradition of spending one
afternoon on children's pursuits is a little assistance from you.
Specific help is needed in these areas:
*Snacks and drinks
*Sponsored Activities (face painters, fighters for the boffer sword game,
crafts, and more--families, households and Baronies are welcome to sponsor
these. If you need inspiration, please Email to ask for a list of activities, to
avoid duplicates)
*Games (think up your own or sponsor a favorite--also a good place for
families, households, kingdoms, etc. to pitch in)
*"Floating" help, where and when it's needed, to help keep the kids safe
*Entry Table for children sign-in
*Set up and clean up (arrive at 11:30am for set up and back again from 4-5 or
so)
and more....
If you are able to help, on any level, please contact

For those who cannot assist, donations of novelty prizes, refreshments or
snacks would be appreciated. Please feel free to Email with questions
concerning your donations.
There is no nobler pursuit than to help the children of the Known World on
their special day.
Please forward this missive wherever it will find the folks who will help us
make the Fete a huge success.
Sincerely,
Denise, Kisaiya & Medb
