[Ponte Alto] From the Minister of Minors: Tournament of Love and Beauty

Greetings unto the Populace of the Barony of Ponte Alto from your
Minister of Minors, Lady Iohanna filia Iacobi, known as Siobhán.

Good gentles, I write this day to request your support and assistance
of our Children's Corner at the Tournament of Love and Beauty and in
the longer term:


CHILDREN'S CORNER -- The Tournament of Love and Beauty Children's
Corner will be held from 12:30 to 2:30pm, in the arena -- the precise
location will be determined on the day of the event.

* This Corner's special feature is a large cardboard castle --
"children of all ages" are welcome to join the 4 to 10 year olds in
decorating the castle, plundering the toy box, and flipping through
the wonderful library donated by the Populace.

* Storytellers, singers, jugglers, and musicians are particularly
encouraged to stop by and share their expressions of love, beauty,
chivalry, and honor!

* I need volunteers!  Kingdom Law requires at least two adults be
present at all times during the Corner -- the Corner cannot open
without at least one other adult present; the ratio of
adults-to-children must be no greater than 1-to-5 (meaning that with
the minimum requirement of two adults, up to 10 kids can be in the
Corner).  My preference is to have a number of people volunteer for
shorter periods of time -- the more the merrier, and the shorter the
shifts!  Please contact either myself or autocrat Lady Courtney de
Houghton if you are interested.  Please note: if the adult supervision
requirement is not met, the Corner will not be open.


MINISTRY OF MINORS -- I will be stepping down from my Office during
evening court -- any gentles interested in supporting the Barony as
Minister of Minors are very welcome to enquire with either myself or
Lady Marie Thérèse, our Seneschal.  I am eager to find someone to pass
on the Office and its materials!


It has been my great priviledge to serve you and our guests in this
capacity during my first years in the Society. I thank all of you for
your support and enthusiasm, and look forward to seeing you at the
Tournament!
