[Ponte Alto] Help?

Ok... I have tried creating a couple of patterns for a mantle to wear over  
my cote this coming 12th night.  Needless to say they both look like crap,  and 
I am sort of at a loss.  I could really use some local advice or  if someone 
has a pattern can I borrow it?
